The Summer 2024 认证 Application will open in TK20 on June 17, 2024. In order to be included in the first batch mailed to the ALSDE (priority), please submit by 2024年7月14日.

The Summer 2024 认证 Application will close completely on 2024年8月31日.

申请认证

申请 毕业 并申请 教师认证 是 两个独立的过程. The College of 教育 and 人文科学 不 认证的老师. The sole authority to 认证的老师 rests with the Alabama State Department of 教育 (ALSDE). A teacher candidate will not be recommended for certification until passing scores for all state mandated tests 是 officially on file with the Office of 教育家准备 at the University of North Alabama College of 教育 and 人文科学.

 

另外, a complete application packet and recommendation for professional certification based on program completion must be received by ALSDE Educator 认证 Section within four years (48 months) from the date of unconditional admission; otherwise, current requirements in effect at the time the application is received in the Educator 认证 Section of the ALSDE will have to be met. 

 

教师候选人 is responsible for submitting

  • NAL表格
  • a transcript release form (which allows UNA to obtain and submit your transcript to the ALSDE on your behalf)
  • the Citizenship Verification form (CIT) and
  • a $30 application fee (or receipt of payment) to the UNA 认证 Officer.

 

认证 applications 是 not submitted to the ALSDE by the UNA 认证 Officer until your degree is confirmed (upon 毕业), all requirements have been met, and all required documents 是 received and reviewed. These documents include the application fee, 你的官方成绩单, a completed Citizenship Verification form, 及填妥的NAL表格.

 

The certification materials should be submitted to the 认证 Officer via TK20.  Instructions on how to submit your certification paperwork on TK20 can be found at education/educator-preparation/certification-paperwork-via-tk20.pdf

  1. 成绩单发布表格
    The 成绩单发布表格 can be found at the following link under the name 认证 Transcript Request: http://r3vc.wfyxwl.com/education/forms.html.
    If you have not already completed this form please do and submit a copy to the 认证 Officer along with your application materials.
  1. 最终形成
    The NAL form is an online form located on the ALSDE website.Be sure to completely fill out all applicable information on the NAL, including the box labeled as “FOR STATISTICAL PURPOSES ONLY” as the ALSDE will not process the application if there 是 blanks. Once you complete the NAL you will be given an option to print a copy.  Please print a copy and submit a signed and dated copy to the UNA 认证 Office.
  1. Citizenship Verification (CIT) Form
    2019年8月开始, the Alabama State Department of 教育 now requires verification of US citizenship. Please complete the CIT form at the link below and submit it along with an acceptable form of ID.  Your CIT form will be needed with your 认证 application in order for it to be processed.

  1. 申请费
    A $30 non-refundable application fee is required for issuance of each certificate.  Students in programs where two certificates will be received must pay $30 for EACH certificate ($60 total).  Payment may be submitted in the form of a cashier's check or 汇款单 made payable to the Alabama State Department of 教育.  Personal checks and cash 是 not accepted.  Application fees may also be paid through the Alabama state Department of 教育 Teacher 认证 Online Payment System, 使用主要的信用卡, at http://www.alabamainteractive.org/education/.  您的本票, 汇款单, or a receipt verifying online payment must be included with the application you submit to the UNA 认证 Officer.
